When it comes to celebrating birthdays, my wife takes them seriously, especially when it’s for our son. It all began with the first poster. Commissioned and creatively directed by my wife, I was asked to create our son’s first birthday poster. And then something occurred to me in that moment — how cool would it be to do one every year for his birthday?

Every October for the past nine years I've set aside dedicated time to honor my son through a series of oversized poster art.

Each poster is one-of-a-kind, featuring a distinct style, subject matter, color palette, and imagery inspired by my son's passions, current events, or a general birthday theme. As much as I enjoy watching my son grow, I might just find even greater fulfillment in this lifelong creative endeavor.
